Biography

Born on October 10, 1961 in Perm region.

Graduated from Moscow State Steel and Alloys Institute specializing in Electric Metallurgy in 1987.

1987 – 1998: Oskol Elektrometallurgical Plant  (OEMK); worked as a caster, shift foreman, shiftman, production engineer of arc-furnace shop, and Deputy Chief of the Electric arc-furnace Shop at OEMK.

1998 – 2007: OEMK, Technical Director and Chief of Technical Department.

2002 – 2003: OEMK, Sales Director

March 2007: Management Company METALLOINVEST, Deputy Director of the Steel Division.

On December 1, 2008 E.Gontaruk became Director of the Steel Division at Management Company METALLOINVEST.

Awards: Honorary Metallurgist (2002) and winner of the Russian Government Prize (2003).
