Products

Mikhailovsky GOK (MGOK) produces:

Blast-furnace ore
Average iron content = approximately 40%.

Sintering ore
Average iron content = approximately 52%.

Ordinary iron ore concentrate
Average iron content = approximately 66%.
Ordinary iron ore concentrate has low levels of sulphur and phosphorus. It is used in iron ore pellets, blast-furnace concentrate, dried concentrate and sinter production.

Blast-furnace  concentrate
A mixture of ordinary iron ore concentrate and sintering ore with an average iron content of approximately 60%.
Due to its low moisture content, the blast-furnace concentrate does not freeze and is used by steel mills for continuous sinter production during the winter.

High-grade iron ore concentrate
MGOK’s high-grade concentrate is produced on flotation facilities which commenced operation in 2007. All high-grade concentrate is used for fluxed pellets production.

Dried iron ore concentrate
Average iron content of approximately 66%.
Due to its low moisture content, the dried concentrate does not freeze during the winter and can be used for continuous sinter production during the winter.

Non-fluxed pellets
Average iron content = 62%
The iron ore pellets are used in blast-furnaces for hot metal production.

Fluxed pellets
Average iron content = 66%
The pellets have low levels of sulphur and phosphorus.
